The revised draw schedule has been sent to the skips and is also available for download lower on this page. Skips should make sure their contact numbers are on the schedule that is posted at the club.
As we have 5 teams this year, the team that is not playing a regular game on a given week will divide in two and play either a mixed doubles game or 2-person stick game (your choice). Rules for both games were sent to the skips and will be available at the club.
Please do your best not to cancel games. You can play with 3 players if you can't find a 4th. You can use anyone as a spare, they do not need to be a member of the club and the gender breakdown of your team is not important. Also note that two of our teams have extra players and may be able to loan you a player if necessary (depending on availability).
If you absolutely must cancel a game, please contact your opposition so they do not come to the rink expecting to play. Please try to give at least 24 hours notice. Contact Doug May at sandymay at mts dot net if you are unable to contact your opposition.
Friday mixed league is a fun league for couples, families, friends and anyone else who would like to curl in a less competitive environment.
Teams are typically 2 men and 2 women but we are very flexible on that account. We encourage family teams and junior teams to join. This is a great league to start curling with or as a next step from the after-school program before moving up to the regular adult leagues. We have experienced curlers in this league as well who will be happy to show you the ropes and help you out as we go along.
Friday mixed curling runs every other Friday evening.
As per SunGro policies and current Manitoba Public Health orders, all adults entering the facility must be fully vaccinated.
Please enter the facility through the front doors. SunGro staff will verify your vaccination status by scanning your QR code and checking photo ID (have both ready as you enter the building). Exit will be through the doors at the west side (by the ladies change room).
Masks are mandatory everywhere in the building except while curling or while sitting at a table in the lounge.
All players must sign a Waiver Form and COVID Declaration Form before going on the ice for the first week. Forms are available from the link below.
If you have any questions or wish to enter a new team in this league, please contact Doug May at sandymay at mymts.net or contact the club at email@example.com.
