The Beausejour Mens Bonspiel is being held on Jan 10-12, 2025. See the poster above for more details or go the event page by clicking here.
We are currently at our maximum of 24 teams for the 2-person stick bonspiel being held on Jan 31-Feb 1.
We are still taking names for a waiting list in case any teams have to withdraw. Please email the club at beausejourcurlingclub@gmail.com to get your name on the waitlist. Do not send payment until requested.
It was decided by the Board last year that the “no-tick” rule would be implemented for both league play and bonspiels beginning at the start of the 2024-2025 season. The rule is as follows:
If, prior to the delivery of the sixth stone of an end, a delivered stone causes, either directly or indirectly, an opposition stone in the Free Guard Zone (FGZ) which is touching the centre line to be moved to an off-centre line position, the non-offending team has the option to:
(i) remove the delivered stone from play, and replace all stones that were displaced to their positions prior to the violation taking place; or
(ii) leave all stones where they came to rest.
If a stone is touching at least part of the centre line marking, it is considered on the centre line.
We are still in need of a secretary to fill out our Executive for the Board of Directors. If you are interested or have questions, please contact Jarrett at sjpowers@mymts.net.
Note that all bartenders must have their Serving It Safe certificate to be behind the bar. Helpers without a certificate can clear glasses but must not be behind the bar at any time. You must have your certificate on you during your shift. Volunteers doing bar shifts should bring their certificates to Lucy (our bar manager) who will take a photo of it and keep it in a binder at the bar. Serving It Safe certificates now expire after 5 years so make sure yours is current. Any bar questions should be directed to the bar manager.
Club newsletters for the current season are below. These are also emailed out so make sure we have your current email address.
Newsletters for past years can be found on the Other Info page.
