The Beausejour Curling Club, from time to time, in exceptional circumstances, may recognize the significant contributions of one of its Active/Past Members by awarding that Member with a Honorary Life Membership.
A Honorary Life Membership is seen as a truly special recognition of a Member’s continual, longstanding and selfless willingness to contribute to the growth and enjoyment of the Beausejour Curling Club.

Stan has been a member of the club since 1965 and has contributed countless hours towards the success of the club. He was club treasurer for 17 years and, with help from others, took the club from a "sinking ship" to the successful operation it remains today. Stan has also been involved in many of the provincial events we have hosted and was also a youth coach, club coach, drawmaster and bar manager among other things.
Stan continues to curl in our mens league as well as participating in the Tuesday Morning recreational league and sparing in the Thursday afternoon 2-person stick league.
Bob was a member of the club for many years. He held several positions on the club executive and was club president twice (1984 and then again in 2012 at the time of his passing). He was a certified coach and coached both after-school curling and junior curling (both at the club and provincial levels). Bob was also involved in many of the provincial events we have hosted over the years as a member of the host committee and also as Master of Ceremonies at times. In addition, Bob represented the club as a curler at both the 1982 Tankard Mens Provincial Championships and the 1981 Mixed Provincials. Bob had a life-long love of curling and emphasized the importance of volunteering and giving back to the the club and his community.
Bob's award was accepted by his wife Leone Rondeau and son Kieran Rondeau.
In cooperation with the Brokenhead River Community Foundation (BRCF), our club has established a post-secondary school scholarship to be awarded to a current Beausejour Curling Club (BCC) member in their high school senior year. The scholarship will be awarded to a graduating high school student who is a member of the Beausejour Curling Club and who is attending a post-secondary university or college. We began awarding this scholarship in 2023 (our previous scholarship was handled through the Sunrise School Division).
In addition, the BRCF also administers a second curling-related post-secondary scholarship (Bob Rondeau Memorial Curling Scholarship). Unlike the BCC scholarship, successful applicants do not need to be members of the BCC.
Donations made to either scholarship are tax-deductible and are administered by the BRCF. Donations to the BCC Scholarship and/or the Bob Rondeau Memorial Curling Scholarship can be made to the BRCF office either online or in-person https://brcfoundation.ca/donations/how-to-donate/
