After-School Curling Program

About the Program

The After-School curling program is for children in grades 4 to 8. This program includes instruction on curling skills, rules of the game as well as playing short games.

In addition to the head coach, each sheet has an adult or high school volunteer working with the kids.

Registration

Pre registration for returning curlers opens Sept.1st by e-mailing Wanda at wrkruschel@gmail.com & making payment via e-transfer to the club. Etransfers should be sent to beausejourcurlingclub@gmail.com and include the child's name and "Junior Curling" in the memo section.

Open registration for new curlers, depending on available spaces, will take place on Sept.15th at the curling rink (6 pm to 8 pm) or by contacting Wanda directly.

Registration fees remain at $120 for this season. Registration forms are available for download below.

Payment can be made by cheque made payable to "Beausejour Curling Club" or etransfer payments can be sent to beausejourcurlingclub@gmail.com. Please indicate "Junior Curling" and the child's name in the message/memo section.

Dates and Times

The After-School Curling program runs on Mondays from 3:50 pm to 5 pm. If there is no school on a particular Monday, there will be no curling (this includes stat holidays, in-service days and storm days).

Curling will begin on Monday, October 19 this year.

Required Equipment

The following equipment is required:

Clean indoor shoes are a must
A broom is required
All new beginner curlers must wear a helmet.
A removable slider is recommended.
Comfortable clothing such as sweatpants, a light jacket and thin gloves will help keep children warm on the ice.
