The Curling Club is aware of the concerns regarding the Covid-19 pandemic in the community.
Presently the health orders allow for the Club to function at 50% capacity so as it stands now, all League games can go on as scheduled. If anyone feels uncomfortable being at the Club, please feel free to have a spare curl for you or if any team is uncomfortable and does not want to show up, please let your opposition know you will not be making the game.
The bar will also be closing at 10 pm as per current public health guidelines.
Since the start of the pandemic over the past few seasons, the Beausejour Curling Club has followed all Provincial Health Regulations and will continue to do so.
We are in need of timers for the Strathcona Trust Senior Mens and Womens Provincial Championships (March 16-21). Training will be provided and shifts are available daytime, evening and weekend. If you are interested, please contact Wanda at email@example.com.
Due to Covid concerns, the decision has been made to cancel the Ladies Bonspiel. As we have limited options for rescheduling this year, the event is being cancelled outright instead of just postponed. We hope to see you all next year.
The Beausejour Curling Club is proud to be hosting the Strathcona Trust Senior Men's and Curl Manitoba Senior Women's Provincial Championships from March 16-21, 2022.

Thank you to all the local businesses who have supported us.

CurlManitoba has set up a 50/50 Raffle through Funding Change as they did last season. This one is a little different as it is only one draw that will launch on January 3rd, 2022 and close on January 31st, 2022 at midnight. 50% will go to the winner and a portion of the proceeds will go to the Clubs similarly to what was done last season. As in past, CurlManitoba has set up the raffle so the purchaser can choose the club that they would like to have their portion go to. PLEASE REMEMBER TO CHOOSE BEAUSEJOUR CURLING CLUB WHEN PURCHASING YOUR TICKET(S).
Tickets are: 1 for $10.00, 3 for $25.00 or 5 for $35.00
Final Draw will take place on Tuesday, February 1st, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.

In cooperation with the Brokenhead River Community Foundation (BRCF), our club has recently established a new post-secondary school scholarship to be awarded to a current Beausejour Curling Club (BCC) member in their high school senior year. The scholarship will be awarded to a graduating high school student who is a member of the Beausejour Curling Club and who is attending a post-secondary university or college. We anticipate awarding this scholarship beginning in 2023.
In addition, the BRCF also administers a second curling-related post-secondary scholarship (Bob Rondeau Memorial Curling Scholarship). Unlike the BCC scholarship, successful applicants do not need to be members of the BCC.
Donations made to either scholarship are tax-deductible and are administered by the BRCF. Donations to the BCC Scholarship and/or the Bob Rondeau Memorial Curling Scholarship can be made to the BRCF office either online or in-person https://brcfoundation.ca/donations/how-to-donate/
The Beausejour Curling Club and the SunGro Centre will be following all current Public Health Orders from the Province of Manitoba.
As of right now, this means that everyone aged 18 and over must be fully vaccinated to enter our facility. SunGro Centre staff will be verifying vaccination status and checking ID at the entrance to the facility. All players and spectators must enter through this front entrance and then leave by the west side entrance (by the ladies change room).
Please note that youth (ages 12-17) are required to have at least 1 shot or a negative Covid-19 test (within the last 72 hours).
Masks are MANDATORY in the SunGro lobby, change rooms, lower lounge and while entering and exiting the Icebreaker Lounge and the ice shed. Masks are optional in the ice shed and while sitting at tables in the lounge.
The bar will close at 10 pm.
Regular curling rules will apply this year (two sweepers allowed) but players are still encouraged to keep distance between teams as much as possible. Handshakes are discouraged.
Continuing from last year, you can now purchase your Asham curling supplies directly through the Beausejour Curling Club. No more running to Winnipeg and your purchases will benefit the club.
What items are available?
Grippers, gripper disks, slider disks, slip-on sliders (full and half), gloves, mitts, socks, broom heads, brooms, and other miscellaneous items are in stock at the club. Check out the display in the Icebreaker Lounge to see all items available as well as prices (note that PST and GST will be added to all purchases).
How do we purchase items?
Items can be purchased during evening league nights through the bartender. Payment can be made by cash, cheque or etransfer to firstname.lastname@example.org. If paying by etransfer, please use “curling” as the security answer and note Asham Purchase in the message section. Please get the bartender to calculate your total including taxes before writing your cheque or sending your etransfer.
If you wish to purchase something outside of league nights, please contact us at email@example.com to arrange for someone to meet you at the club.
Special Order Items
There are catalogs available on the display that you can take home with you. If you wish to order items from the catalog (such as clothing, shoes, etc), please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with the item number, description and size/colour (if applicable) and we will contact you with the pricing information prior to placing your order. Special orders must be prepaid via cheque or etransfer. Special order items will be delivered to the club within a week (if they are in stock at Asham).
The club was not completely idle during the 2020-2021 season as Todd and the SunGro staff were busy installing the wheelchair lifts to provide access to the ice surface and main lounge area. Automatic openers were also added to both bathroom doors to provide accessibility there as well. We look forward to welcoming everyone back this fall to our new and fully accessible facility.
Funding for this project was provided by the Province of Manitoba, the Town of Beausejour and the Beausejour Curling Club.
Beausejour Curling Club Mission Statement
The BCC provides, to curlers of all ages and abilities in the Eastman Region, a family oriented experience in an outstanding facility.
We are a 6-sheet club located in the SunGro Centre in Beausejour, Manitoba. Our club includes the Icebreaker Lounge which features a bar with views of all the sheets as well as monitors with overhead views of the far end. There is also a lower viewing area that provides ice-level views.
We have leagues for men, ladies, and mixed teams as well as an after-school program for kids in grades 4 to 8 and drop-in recreational curling on Tuesday mornings for those who just want to have some fun. We are also the host facility for the Curling Academy program run by École Edward Schreyer School for kids in grades 9 to 11.
If you have a question about our club or leagues, please send us a message. To inquire about renting our facility, please contact the SunGro Centre office directly.
