The next registration evening is Wednesday, Sept 29 from 6 pm to 8 pm in the Icebreaker Lounge.
Update - 2-Person stick curling will take place on Thursday afternoons (3 pm until Curling Academy is done for the year then 1 pm). See the league page for more information. Cost is only $30 if you are already a member of the club.
Payment can be made via cheque (payable to Beausejour Curling Club), cash or etransfer (see below for etransfer details).
Players who have credits from the 2020-2021 season still need to register and pay for this year's fundraising raffle tickets ($50) as well as this year's volunteer bond ($75). Volunteer bond cheques should be post-dated to April 1, 2022.
Fees are the same as the 2020-2021 season except for the volunteer bond which has been increased to $75. For information on fees, please check the Membership page of the website.
Please bring your signed Covid waiver forms when you come to register. Forms can be downloaded from the membership section of the website (click the button below).
The Beausejour Curling Club and the SunGro Centre will be following all current Public Health Orders from the Province of Manitoba.
This means that everyone aged 18 and over must be fully vaccinated to enter our facility. SunGro Centre staff will be verifying vaccination status as well as collecting contact information for tracing purposes at the front entrance to the facility. All players and spectators must enter through this front entrance and then leave by the west side entrance (by the ladies change room).
Please note that youth (ages 12-17) are not required to be vaccinated if they are entering the facility to participate in sport activities and leave the facility once their sport is over. If they are spectators or if they wish to sit in the lounge after their game(s), then they must be fully vaccinated.
Masks are MANDATORY in the SunGro lobby, change rooms, lower lounge and while entering and exiting the Icebreaker Lounge and the ice shed. Masks are optional in the ice shed and while sitting at tables in the lounge.
Regular curling rules will apply this year (two sweepers allowed) but players are still encouraged to keep distance between teams as much as possible. Handshakes are discouraged.
Etransfers should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org. The security answer must be "curling" (doesn't matter what the question is). Please include your name and league(s) in the message so that we can be sure to credit the payment to the proper person.
If you are looking to join a team, please contact the club at email@example.com. We will take your information and give it to the league coordinators who will try to find a team for you. You can also contact league coordinators directly if you know which league you are interested in. See the league pages on the website for contact information for each coordinator.
Door Prize draw (must be present to win)
Board Meeting to follow.
As quorum was not met on Sept 20, our AGM has been rescheduled to October 18 at 7 pm.
As per SunGro policies and current Manitoba Public Health orders, masks must be worn and everyone aged 12 and over must be fully vaccinated to attend this meeting. Please bring your QR code and photo ID for screening at the building entrance.
Plans are underway for the 2021-2022 curling season. We are hoping to begin curling the week of October 12. Registration information has been provided to skips and updated on the website.
Based on guidance from Curl Manitoba, the Waiver Forms and Covid-19 Declaration forms will again need to be completed and signed before your first game of the season. Updated forms will be sent out with registration information and are available for download from the Membership page of the website. The forms have some changes this year to reflect the latest public health orders.
Fees are being kept the same for the 2021-22 season with the exception of the volunteer bond. This post-dated cheque is now $75 to encourage more members to do their volunteer duties. Plenty of jobs should be available this year with club bonspiels, Curl Manitoba berth bonspiels and the Senior Provincial Championships in March 2022. Watch this website, our Facebook page and our newsletters for volunteer opportunities as they arise.
Continuing from last year, you can now purchase your Asham curling supplies directly through the Beausejour Curling Club. No more running to Winnipeg and your purchases will benefit the club.
What items are available?
Grippers, gripper disks, slider disks, slip-on sliders (full and half), gloves, mitts, socks, broom heads, brooms, and other miscellaneous items are in stock at the club. Check out the display in the Icebreaker Lounge to see all items available as well as prices (note that PST and GST will be added to all purchases).
How do we purchase items?
Items can be purchased during evening league nights through the bartender. Payment can be made by cash, cheque or etransfer to firstname.lastname@example.org. If paying by etransfer, please use “curling” as the security answer and note Asham Purchase in the message section. Please get the bartender to calculate your total including taxes before writing your cheque or sending your etransfer.
If you wish to purchase something outside of league nights, please contact us at email@example.com to arrange for someone to meet you at the club.
Special Order Items
There are catalogs available on the display that you can take home with you. If you wish to order items from the catalog (such as clothing, shoes, etc), please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with the item number, description and size/colour (if applicable) and we will contact you with the pricing information prior to placing your order. Special orders must be prepaid via cheque or etransfer. Special order items will be delivered to the club within a week (if they are in stock at Asham).
The club was not completely idle during the 2020-2021 season as Todd and the SunGro staff were busy installing the wheelchair lifts to provide access to the ice surface and main lounge area. Automatic openers were also added to both bathroom doors to provide accessibility there as well. We look forward to welcoming everyone back this fall to our new and fully accessible facility.
Funding for this project was provided by the Province of Manitoba, the Town of Beausejour and the Beausejour Curling Club.
Beausejour Curling Club Mission Statement
